In the Shadow of Glory is a two-player epistolary Tabletop Role-Playing Game (TTRPG) of flawed heroes and broken villains. One player is a hero who has gone unmatched, and the other player - their arch nemesis. Both have been unable to thwart the other, and have resigned to coexisting. Explore the nostalgic relationship between two long-lost foes as they both struggle with the weight of ultimate power.

How do you play the game?

#1. A letter arrives
The core engine that drives In the Shadow of Glory is easy to learn. The turn starts when you receive a letter from the other player.

#2. Draw cards
You draw cards to discover the weekly events:

  • a mundane event that will affect your alter-ego identity's life
  • a super-powered event that will affect your super-powered identity's life

#3. Resolve & write
Resolve a goal action to progress personal goals. Then, write and send a letter to your rival.

The TTRPG game will help you build the story.

We use Royal Mail to ship all of our mail. Below are rough prices you can expect, weight-depending:

  • Within the UK: £4.50
  • Within the EU: starting at £6
  • Within the US: starting at £8
  • The rest of the world: starting at £7.5

Royal Mail collects all of our mail once a week on a Saturday. Domestic parcels arrive within 1-2 business days, all other parcels arrive within 4-5 business days.

Digital copies of all applicable products will be automatically emailed to you after checkout. Shoot us an email to store@peregrinecoast.press if you have any issues claiming your PDFs.

We also collect taxes at checkout, so EU folks will have their packages sent duties paid. This means faster and cheaper delivery :)

This is part of the IOSS scheme. You'll see VAT-included prices on the shop (in EUR) - we'll collect that VAT from you at checkout and remit it to your tax authority.

IOSS is limited to 150EUR - orders valued above 150EUR will be shipped duties unpaid and you will have to pay the duties at the border.
