Universe at Your Door: The Traveller

You are on a mission to investigate extrasolar planets, gather and share knowledge, and do no harm. You live on your ship and venture out onto planets to research and interact.
As the Traveller, specialist, crew member and former earth dwelling human you make a record of your journey for an Earth that may never see it or hear it. 

What is Universe at your Door: The Traveller?

A Solo Journalling game, Powered by Sentinel, that explores the life of a person who has ventured out into the stars. 

It asks you to turn over cards, roll dice, create worlds and answer prompts about The Traveller; the choices made, what our connections mean to us, what we owe the world and each other, and the wonders we can find when we step out into the unknown with community behind us.

The game uses the suit of the cards you turn over to guide you to the next set of prompts. Each section of prompts centres around a different aspect of The Traveller's life and journey. Through them, you build a picture of the universe from The Traveller's perspective. See below for a description of each section and an extract from gameplay.

Worlds Explored invites you to create different planets, imagine other worlds and put yourself or your crew out there learning and growing somewhere completely new.

Earth years pass as you travel great distances to different planets in Torpor, not sleeping, suspended. You live your life in orbits and planetside.

Light Years With You asks you to build a life in space, balancing crew ties with who you are outside of your work. Figuring out as you go what keeps you together so far from home.

Every Planet brings its own beauty and challenges, each world leaves its mark on you. What do you keep from each world, to crystallise your memories.

Mementos of Worlds Passed tells you that even this wonder is fleeting and human memory is fallible. That often you need something concrete, to connect your heart with the places you've been.

You left Earth knowing that everything you left behind will be gone if you ever return. Explore the connections that sustained you, the places that birthed you and the memories you treasure of a life that fades into dust for those still on Earth.

Memories From Home reminds you that you had a whole life before... It invites you to build a wider and deeper picture of The Traveller that stepped into space....
